Multiple Sclerosis
Individual support for people living with MS
Living with multiple sclerosis can affect your energy, mobility, balance and many other areas of everyday life. Our friendly team provides a welcoming place where you can explore oxygen therapy and complementary support alongside the care provided by your MS team.
Support shaped around your individual needs
Multiple sclerosis is a complex neurological condition that affects everyone differently. Symptoms can vary considerably between individuals and may also change over time. Our approach begins with listening to you, understanding how MS affects your daily life and discussing the support you are looking for.
Oxygen therapy takes place inside one of our hyperbaric chambers, where oxygen is breathed through a mask while the chamber is gradually pressurised. Oxygen therapy has a long history of use within some community MS centres, but research has not established it as an effective treatment for MS or shown that it changes the progression of the condition.
Oxygen therapy does not cure MS, prevent relapses, repair damaged nerves or replace disease-modifying treatment, physiotherapy, medication or any other care recommended by your healthcare professionals. New or worsening neurological symptoms should always be discussed promptly with your MS nurse, neurologist or GP.
Our team will explain what a session involves, carefully consider your health, mobility and individual comfort requirements, and answer any questions you may have. Where oxygen therapy or one of our complementary services is appropriate, we will help make your experience as comfortable and supportive as possible.
