Autism Spectrum Therapy
Individual support in a calm and welcoming environment
If you or someone you know is autistic and considering oxygen therapy as part of a wider wellbeing routine, our friendly team is here to explain the process and help you decide whether the experience may be suitable.
BEGIN YOUR JOURNEY
An approach centred around the individual
Autism is a lifelong neurodevelopmental difference, and every autistic person experiences the world differently. Communication preferences, sensory sensitivities and comfort with unfamiliar environments can vary considerably, so our approach always begins with understanding the individual.
Oxygen therapy takes place inside one of our hyperbaric chambers, where oxygen is breathed through a mask while the chamber is gradually pressurised. Before arranging a session, we will explain what happens, discuss the sensations, sounds and equipment involved, and answer any questions you or your family may have.
Current research has not established oxygen therapy as a treatment for autism or its core characteristics. We do not claim that it can cure autism, and it should never replace appropriate medical care, educational provision or support from qualified professionals.
Where oxygen therapy is being considered as a complementary wellbeing service, our team will discuss suitability honestly and help make the experience as clear, predictable and comfortable as possible.
