Cancer Support
Compassionate support alongside your cancer care
Living with cancer and undergoing treatment can affect your physical strength, emotional wellbeing and everyday life. Our friendly team provides a welcoming place where you can explore complementary support alongside the care provided by your medical team.
BEGIN YOUR JOURNEY
Supporting your wellbeing through a difficult time
Every experience of cancer is different. The effects of the condition and its treatment can vary considerably, so our approach begins with listening to you, understanding your circumstances and discussing the support you are looking for.
Oxygen therapy takes place inside one of our hyperbaric chambers, where oxygen is breathed through a mask while the chamber is gradually pressurised. In specialist healthcare, hyperbaric oxygen may sometimes be recommended for particular forms of lasting tissue damage caused by radiotherapy. This requires appropriate medical assessment and is not suitable for every person or every cancer-related condition.
Oxygen therapy does not treat cancer, shrink tumours or replace chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgery or any other clinical treatment. Anyone currently receiving cancer treatment or taking prescribed medication should speak to their oncologist or specialist nurse before beginning oxygen therapy.
Our team will explain what a session involves, carefully consider your suitability and answer any questions you may have. Where oxygen therapy or one of our complementary services is appropriate, we will help make your experience as comfortable, supportive and reassuring as possible.
